Performance 100 Products

Performance 100 data

Our main product breaks down a player's game by 13 different actions, including passes, dribbles, crosses and shots. Each individual action is analysed in reference to their total number of 'possessions' (sometimes referred to as touches by other providers of data), rather than in reference to their minutes.

As a result, Performance 100 data displays, on average, what a player does when they have the opportunity to carry out an action, and quantifies decision making. For example, Performance 100 analysis can tell us exactly how often a player decides to attempt a dribble.

Performance 100 data can help scouts, coaches, analysts, journalists and fans to quickly learn about a player's style, their decision making, and the efficiency of their play. This can be translated into assessing teams as well as individuals.

Performance 100 Analysis

The standard method of displaying Performance 100 data is displayed on the right. The graphic shows how often a player performs a certain action, e.g. completed pass, per 100 possessions. It also illustrates lowest, highest and average figures for each action, as well as the 20th and 80th percentiles, to aid comparison. The overall number doesn't add up to 100 due to the overlapping key pass and goals plus big chances created figures.

Performance 100 Maps

Another method of displaying Performance 100 data is the Performance 100 map. This graphic compares actions per 100 possessions of three chosen players, with different sized bubbles easing comparisons.

An example Performance 100 map is shown on the left, and can be supplied for players of your choice, from 31 different global competitions, at a small fee.

Performance 100 Wheels

Performance 100 wheels show, per team, how many ball possessions each player averages per 90 minutes. This offers an impression of a team's tactical approach, and which players, and positions, are more involved in their build-up play than others.

For example, teams that build from the back, like Manchester City, will have high possession per 90 minute figures for centre-backs and defensive midfielders. Other tactical trends, including a preference to attack down a certain side of the pitch, can also be inferred via Performance 100 wheels.

Performance 100 wheels for teams across the world are available on request, for a small fee.

Performance 100 Lists

In many occasions, comparison of just a few statistics are required. This is where Performance 100 lists can be of use.

Performance 100 lists simply display figures for the top ten, or ten players of your choosing, in a certain category.

The list on the left compares the ten top scorers in the English Premier League (at the time of creation), on a selection of categories, including goals plus big chances created per 100 possessions.

Performance 100 Graphs

Performance 100 data can also be plotted on scatter graphs, which is a popular method of showing data in football.

Performance 100 graphs can be created for a wide range of statistics, for players in 31 competitions across five continents.
