How to Interpret the Performance 100 Analysis Graphic

Updated: Jul 12, 2018

An example of our Performance 100 analysis graphic is displayed below. This example shows Performance 100 data for Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, during the 2017-18 Premier League season.

The graphic above presents how often Salah carried out certain actions per 100 possessions last season. This can give an excellent indication of a player's (or team's) decision making and efficiency of certain actions.

But how is this graphic interpreted? The graphic below explains.

A significant amount of information is portrayed on these graphics. Firstly, you can see that, for example, last season Mo Salah managed a shot on target 4.8 times per 100 possessions (or 4.8% of the time). Note that the figures don't add up to 100, due to the key pass and shot on target crossovers.

Also, in each category, it can be determined where a player sits in comparison to the average outfield player (across over 20 world leagues), and whether they fall into the top or bottom 20%, or the middle 60%, of players.

Finally, minimum and maximum figures for each category is included in the graphic, offering another point of comparison.
